Sub-Zero Temperatures can equal frozen pipes; don’t let it happen to you!

The vents in your foundation/crawl space walls are something most of us rarely think about, however now that the temperatures have been in the minus zero range for over a week, it’s a good idea to take a few minutes and make sure they’re closed and/or sealed up.  Whether you’re using the vent door itself and just sliding it shut, or attaching an insulated cover specifically designed to seal up the vent, you’ll want to make sure you’ve addressed each and every opening in the foundation walls; it only takes one open cover in these extreme temperatures to allow pipes to freeze, possibly with catastrophic consequences!
